Born and raised in South Africa, Pieter received his first guitar at the age of eight and was performing on stage by twelve. His professional career brought him to Abu Dhabi in 2001, beginning at the Hilton Hotel. Since then, he has performed across the UAE, Oman, Bahrain and Qatar in hospitality venues and at corporate and private events.
A versatile guitarist and vocalist, Pieter moves between blues, rock, pop, reggae and country, combining timeless classics, familiar sing-along favourites and contemporary chart material. His repertoire of more than 500 cover songs across multiple decades allows him to adapt to different audiences, venues and occasions.
He produces his own backing tracks and takes a hands-on approach to live sound and presentation. Pieter is also comfortable performing with a duo, trio or full band, depending on the booking arrangement.
